Engineering and Permitting

After your enclosure has been designed and engineered, we then begin the permitting process. There are many steps required by the State of Florida that are designed to protect you as the homeowner and the General Contractor as well. A Permit package will then be prepared that contains two (2) copies of the drawing along with a signed copy of our Contract, a Survey of your property, a signed Building Permit Application, several fees and sometimes additional Affidavits. A notarized "Notice of Commencement" will be registered at the local courthouse. This entire permit package is submitted to the "Plan Review" department. Keep in mind, these are complex, engineered structures and must be reviewed again by a County engineer. This usually takes a few weeks to a couple of months depending on your local municipality. Once the permit has been approved, we will post it in a visible place for the duration of the construction and inspection process.
